Four new projects validated in September 2016

The Addax and Oryx Foundation granted funding for four new projects at its September Board meeting.

The Swiss Sierra Leone Development Foundation (SSLDF) will receive funding to construct and equip the first floor of a boarding house for the orphaned students attending the primary boarding school in the Magbenteh region of Sierra Leone. 

A Partner in Education (APIE), a British charity, will receive funding for the construction of a multi-purpose hall at the Umubano primary school in Rwanda in order for it to achieve economic sustainability. 

The French NGO Electriciens sans Frontières will receive funding for the solar electrification of a socio-economic hub in the Zam commune of Burkina Faso.

The British charity Pump Aid will receive funding for a project in the Blantyre district, Malawi, aiming to develop safe WASH facilities at eight Community Based Childhood Centres in order to reduce levels of waterborne diseases in children.
